The albums section contains a carefully curated group of reference quality albums from artists around whom we've built the Hearts of Space service. Think of it as a collection of favorites you've assembled after years of discriminating listening— albums you value long term and return to over time for repeated enjoyment and inspiration.

Some people think the concept of an album as a long form musical expression is becoming obsolete. But while mainstream artists are under pressure to release more music more often as single tracks or "extended play" mini-albums, the same cannot be said of Ambient, Classical and Contemplative musicians. Here the extended album format still makes perfect artistic sense. And digital albums are free from the side and length limitations of physical disks and tapes.

In choosing these albums we've sought to maintain the same standard we apply when compiling multiple artists in our radio program playlists: a coherent musical experience you can listen to from beginning to end with confidence that every track will reward your time and attention. As we add new titles, they will appear in the RECENT view.
